What Is A Neck Reset On An Acoustic Guitar?

Acoustic guitars are constructed of very thin woods that are strong enough to counteract the pull of the strings and yet light enough to allow the guitar to respond to the acoustic vibrations of the strings. A finely handcrafted guitar is one that achieves a delicate balance between strength and flexibility. With this constant pull of the strings and the affects of temperature and humidity, the delicate balance can change overtime. Eventually the neck pulls towards the bridge and the guitar will need a neck reset.
