Ohio Senate Bill 5 Has Many Benefits (ContributorNetwork)
ContributorNetwork - COMMENTARY | Ohio Senate Bill 5 protesters groaned in unison as the announcement was made that the measure passed committee around noon EST today. The vote was 7-5 with Democratic committee members dissenting. Republican Sen. Bill Seitz from Cincinnati who opposed specific measures in the bill was replaced on the committee Tuesday with supporter Cliff Hite from Findley. While public employees are fearful of the impact of the bill, all is not doom and gloom for union members. Civil rights laws and provisions written into the bill still provide protections for workers.
